David Selden-Treiman
I coordinate operations and manage projects at Potent Pages. I started programming in 2003 and I’ve been building web crawlers, web applications, business websites, and custom software ever since, plus managing dozens of servers and high-availability hosting environments.
What I do
I build reliable software systems for teams that depend on accuracy, speed, and operational clarity. That typically means crawlers, data tooling, custom web apps, and the infrastructure that keeps it all running.
Web crawlers & data acquisition
Custom crawlers to collect structured data, monitor changes, track search results, and capture high-volume information streams cleanly and repeatably.
Web applications & automation
Internal tools, customer portals, dashboards, and automation workflows that reduce manual work and keep teams aligned.
Infrastructure & performance
Ubuntu server management, high-availability setups, caching layers, and performance tuning for systems that can’t afford downtime.
Project leadership
Translating goals into execution: scoping, timelines, communication loops, and careful tradeoffs that keep projects on track.
Data packaging & delivery
Converting messy information into usable outputs: Excel exports, email delivery, dashboards, and clean interfaces people can actually use.
AI integration for text workflows
Integrating LLMs into internal programs for large-scale text analysis and content generation, especially when paired with crawler output.
Experience & approach
A quick view of the roles and the operating principles that shape how I build and lead.
- Lead projects and coordinate operations across web apps, crawlers, and small-business websites.
- Build and maintain crawlers for large datasets, monitoring, and ongoing optimization workflows.
- Manage server environments including high-availability configurations and caching layers.
- Integrate LLM tooling into custom programs for scalable text analysis and generation.
- Develop and maintain a directory platform for organizations that provide or accept durable medical equipment.
- Maintain a data-entry web application to keep listings accurate and up-to-date.
- Support paid search campaigns and technical operations.
- Supported faculty research with statistical analysis, graphing, data entry, and literature review.
How I think about building
Reliability is a product feature. Good systems reduce confusion, make outcomes repeatable, and scale without needing heroics. I aim for stable architecture, clear interfaces, and disciplined iteration.
If your team depends on accuracy and speed, the “last 10%” matters. That’s where careful engineering, testing, and monitoring pay off.
What clients notice
Fast diagnosis, practical solutions, and delivery that keeps improving over time.
Working with David and Potent Pages has been phenomenal. When problems arise, David is quick to partner in finding and implementing an appropriate solution.
He has always been very responsive, with incredible turnaround times. He has always been able to diagnose issues quickly and create solutions for us.
David is a great problem solver, comes up with creative solutions and is very responsive. We cannot name a single project that David was unable to complete for us.
Have a project that needs stable execution?
If you need crawlers, automation, custom web applications, or infrastructure work that stays reliable over time, send a note with your goal and constraints. I’ll respond with next steps.
